First and foremost, if you are reading this I want to thank you. This blog is still very new and as I move into my second year with it, I want to take this time to thank those who are already following it. As always, I hope you have enjoyed going on this adventure with me.
Changes to Spotlight Saturdays
For now, I will be changing Spotlight Saturdays to just Spotlight Pieces. I work retail and it gets rather hectic this time of year and I know I’ve missed a few Saturdays. For now while things are crazy, I’ll just be posting as I can find the time. When the new year comes I hope to come up with a more regular schedule again as well as some new series. Until then though, I wanted to let you guys know that posts may be more spread out.
2021 So Far
It certainly has been an extraordinary year for me both in gaming and in my life as a whole. I’ll dive into this at a later date when I recap my year, but reflecting on it now certainly has me eager to get started. I have enjoyed some phenomenal games and coming up with a top ten will be difficult but I will try my best to keep that tradition alive.
From Hollow Knight to Bugsnax, the fight for my favorite game this year is going to be a tough one. However, I will be doing a year-end recap just like last year which will probably be broken into two or more parts. Luckily I have written about the majority of the games I have played this year. I look forward to writing that post later this year.
The Remainder of the Year
As it stands, I am currently playing Far Cry 6 and enjoying the Animal Crossing: New Horizons update. Lately it has been more of the latter. I just posted about my experience with Resident Evil 3 and I am still working on my Outlast 2 piece to wrap up my October games. With those done and me being in the middle of Far Cry 6, it is very likely that I won’t be starting a new game until Pokémon: Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl come out.
Naturally, I plan to enjoy those titles to their fullest which could easily be the rest of my year. However, I do want to dedicate December to a few replays. I am still deciding on which replays to hit and with work, I may not get to too many. However starting the year with some replays doesn’t sound like a bad idea either. The only game I know for sure I’ll be replaying is Horizon: Zero Dawn. With Forbidden West quickly approaching, I want my knowledge of the game and story to be fresh on my mind. Beyond that, only time will tell. I am excited to replay some titles though, because it will allow me to write pieces on games I enjoyed before starting this blog.
Once Again, Thank You
I cannot express how much this blog means to me and how much each of you mean to me. This has been a passion project for sure, and I plan to continue to nurture it as much as possible. As always, feedback is welcome and I look forward to the following year with you guys. Thank you so much for your continued support.
