Welcome to my very first video game blog!
I am extremely excited to start this blog and I have a few ideas for what I want to do with it. At its core I would call it a video game appreciation blog. I am an avid gamer and play video games every single day. My journey started at age 6 with the Sony PlayStation and my first game, Crash Bandicoot. The whole family took turns on levels and we replayed it countless times. Ever since then, I’ve been hooked. I enjoy most genres and try my best to keep an open mind to all games. However, I will admit that there are still genres I have not tried. I do intend to change that in the future though, because I want to experience everything this industry has to offer.
I really don’t think that I want this to be a review blog, at least not as thorough as most game reviews tend to be. I would rather just write about the games I am currently playing and my experiences with those games. I believe that video games have a lot to offer the world whether that is a brilliantly written story or fluid gameplay. Each game I play I can find something to appreciate and take away from the experience so that is why I don’t want this blog to be strictly reviews. Any game I invest my time in, I’ll tell you why and encourage the same so I can’t in good conscious tear games apart. For me, I’d rather see the positive things and tell you about those.
I hope you all continue this journey with me as I fall more in love with my favorite thing in the world and expand my gaming knowledge. I’m very excited to take this next step as I think it will help me to reflect on the games I play and allow me to get more from a medium I already enjoy.
