Now Loading: Hello March, Hello Spring!

Not much has changed in my game room since the last time I posted. However, I haven’t had much of an opportunity to write recently and finally found some time to do so. Honestly, I have been enjoying Horizon Forbidden West so much that it has really taken up a lot of my time. Beyond that, I am still working on my Arceus Pokédex and enjoying Dying Light 2 with my roommate.

Horizon Forbidden West (So Far)

In one word: breathtaking. I am enthralled with this game. Guerrilla Games truly built upon their first game and expanded Aloy’s world and its lore extremely well. It is already my favorite game of the year so far and it is going to be very difficult to beat.

I don’t want to say too much about it, as I’d like to save it for the piece I will write about it. However, it is just worth mentioning that I am not even halfway done with it and have been playing it for almost 50 hours now. Anyone who knows me knows that I am certainly in my happy place with this title.

Arceus Arceus Arceus

This is another title that I am eager to write a full piece about. I’ve almost completed my Pokédex and then I am going to be able to fully write my piece on it. As it stands, I am only missing Spiritomb. However, to get my shiny charm I will need to raise research levels for every Pokémon to level ten. A difficult and time consuming task to be sure, but I’ll do anything for Pokemon. I’m such a sucker for that franchise.

Unrelated to Legends Arceus but pertaining to Pokémon; my sister just sent me what she had left of her Pokémon cards from our childhood and it has made me eager to get back into that. She had some amazing looking cards too, so I’m stoked to have these in my possession and make them a part of my game room. They are a solid addition for sure, and one that I can’t wait to add to. I have a few of my own already so it is a small collection but it is an area of the franchise that I haven’t really dabbled in. I’m excited to change that.

Everything Else

It’s warming up out there, at least for us here in Tennessee. With that, I’ll be getting out more than I have been during the winter. It will take time away from my gaming, but it’ll be so worth it. Ring Fit has gotten me through the winter (another piece I’ll need to forge soon since I have seen the credits roll for it) but getting outside will be nice. Exercise has certainly been nothing but beneficial for both my physical and mental health. It is absolutely a priority of mine that I do not plan to stop.

Other than that, work and the social life keep chugging away. I can’t wait to see what the rest of this year holds. I am excited for numerous games coming out this year as well as the ones I already own but haven’t experienced yet. Don’t get me wrong though, I’m soaking in everything that Horizon Forbidden West has to offer.
